A festival without someone important.
Today, a familiar festival felt different because someone who usually made it special was not around. Everything else Looked the same; food decorations, conversations and laughter. Yet there was an empty space nobody mentioned. I realized how strongly certain people become part of our traditions without us consciously noticing.
I missed their presence more than I expected, Still, I tried to enjoy the celebration instead of letting sadness take everything away. Maybe remembering someone can exist alongside 😊. Tonight I understood that traditions are not only about what we do each year, they are also about the people who give those moments meaning.

It’s a strange, hollow ache wrapped in strings of fairy lights and festive noise. The house is bustling with people, sweets, and laughter, but the air feels thin in a specific, quiet spot across the room. You catch yourself glancing toward a doorway or a chair that should be occupied, half-expecting a familiar voice to cut through the chatter. When it doesn't, a sudden, heavy stillness settles underneath the celebration. You smile, pass the mithai, and play your part in the tradition, but your heart is quietly keeping score of who isn't there. It’s the realization that joy and grief can share the exact same room—that holidays don't erase absence; they just amplify the space someone left behind.
