A happy - Go - Lucky Day
I woke up live minutes before my alarm and somehow considered that a victory. The morning was already bright, my hair looked like it bad survived and argument, and I couldn't find my other sock. Instead of panicking . I laughed, grabbed another pair, and rushed towards breakfast whilebstill half asleep.
The bus was unusually crowded, but I found a tiny corner near the window. Someone was playing music softly through their earphones, a child was enthusiastically explaining something to his mother, and the conductor was arguing about change. Normally I might complain , but today everything felt oddly entertaining like free morning theatre.
At college, I remembered I had forgotten to finish something due that morning. For approximately thirty seconds. I stared at my notebook as though the missing work might magically appear. Then I borrowed a pen, completed whatever I could, and promised myself I would stop trusting my memory.
During lunch, my friends started discussing weekend plans, although none of us actually had a plan. We suggested movies, cafes, shopping, and even a completely unnecessary road trip. Eventually, we agreed to decide later. Which apparently meant discussing the same possibilities again tomorrow, honestly, I was perfectly happy with that arrangement.
The afternoon dragged especially during a lecture where the fan made more noise than the professor. I tried taking notes, failed spectacularly, and ended up drawing tiny stars beside important points. Somehow, those ridiculous little starts made the page look cheerful. Sometimes productivity needs a little nonsense to survive.
On my way home. I stopped at a small shop and bought a snack I absolutely didn't need. The Shop recognizes me and smiled before asking whether I wanted the usual. I did . Walking home with that packet in my hand, I realized tiny routines can make an ordinary day surprisingly comforting.
Later, I helped with dinner watched random videos, replied to messages I had ignored all afternoon, and laughed at a meme that made absolutely no sense. Nothing extraordinary happened today. There was no dramatic achievement or life - changing revelation. Still I felt grateful for the ridiculous little collection of moments.
Before sleeping. I checked tomorrow's schedule and immediately regretted it. There were assignmenta, classes errands and probably another forgotten responsibility waiting somewhere. Yet I wasn't worried. Tomorrow could be messy too . I would figure things out they arrived . For now, I was tired , fed, entertained and strangely happy
And when I was about to sleep, I remembered my friend messaged me about making a plan for a trip. I actually laughed cause this is not the first time this topic came up. We always talk about the trip and talk about what we will happen at the trip and how we all are going to be happy and all. But in reality we never actually go. Now this is not relevant to the journal today but this is something that takes me back to those days when we all went to same school and thought about bunking class but never did.
