This is so beautifully written and just when I am reading this, I have also realised that I am not longer intrested to eat not just cake but any other desserts too...not because I can afford them these days easily but because nothing can really make me feel intrested these days

Yeah. We love something when it is rare because it becomes special. When available in abundance it becomes meh.
