What happened when you feeling left out or outcast

It happened with me so many time, don’t know why if it really happened or I think too much . In my childhood I have changed schools due to some reason and when ever I join new school I felt outcast .I want to be friends with those who are smart or labelled as cool but somehow I end being left out .I act like a cool person or try to impress others but eventually I felt left out. In my family I always feel left out in gatherings or functions no one actually give attention to me they treat me as if I m some kind of alien or other species and I don’t belong to them or one of them .

Sometimes I feels like I overthink

I don’t know if it’s my nature or behaviour I mean if someone approaches me or talk to me or became my friend I give them proper attention , I try to solve their problems and try to make efforts to feel them that they are my priority and I value them and I think I want this kind of behaviour from others as well but I got disappointed as I expect so many things.

But In the period of time I learned to value myself and not to run after others . I treat them how they treat me and the funniest thing is that now I’m labelled as weird , unfriendly and reserved . I stop trying to fit in their circle . Being left out or outcaste surely make you upset but it doesn’t mean that for others attention we have to ruin our own peace

Sometimes being left out changes the way you see people. You start wondering whether you’re actually difficult to be around or whether you simply stopped forcing yourself into spaces where you weren’t genuinely welcomed. And the strange part is, once you become quiet because of how people treated you, the same people may call you “reserved” or “unfriendly” without ever thinking about what made you pull away. I feel like not every distance is arrogance—sometimes it’s just self-protection. At the same time, being left out repeatedly can make you question yourself even when you’ve done nothing wrong. Maybe the real challenge is learning when to give people another chance and when to accept that some connections just aren’t meant for us
