If You Could Relive One Ordinary Day

If someone suddenly gave me the option to go back and live one completely ordinary day from my past, I don't think I'd choose my birthday, a big celebration, or even the happiest day I can remember.

I'd probably choose one of those normal days that didn't feel special at that time.

Maybe a random summer afternoon when everyone was at home. The TV was playing something in the background, someone was complaining about the heat, and there was absolutely nothing important happening. Or maybe one of those school days when the only thing I was worried about was finishing my homework before going to sleep.

It's funny how we don't realise we're living a memory while it's happening.

At that moment, we're just thinking about tomorrow.

"Kal kya karna hai?"

"Homework kab complete hoga?"

"Weekend kab ayega?"

And then suddenly years pass, and those same ordinary moments start feeling strangely precious.

I something wonder what I'd actually notice If i could go back.

Would I pay more attention to the little things? Would I stay at the dining table a little longer? Would I take random pictures Just because everyone everyone happened to be there? Would I realise that some conversations would eventually become memories?

Maybe that's why old photos feel so strange. You look at one and remember the picture, but then you suddenly remember everything around it too the weather, the room, what you were wearing, what you were thinking about the day.

And the weirdest part?

You probably didn't even know it was going to become something you'd miss.

I think we spend so much time thinking for the "important" moment that we forget how much of life is actually made up of these completely normal days.

A random chai in the evening.

Laughing over something that wasn't even that funny.

Sitting with your family without everyone being busy on their phones.

Walking home without rushing.

Doing absolutely nothing and somehow being perfectly okay with it.

If you could go back to the one ordinary day from your life, which one would you choose?

Would you choose a childhood day, a school day, a family day, or maybe just a completely random day you didn't think you'd ever miss?

And if you went back, would you change anything?

Or would you just quitely live that day again, knowing how much you'd miss it later?

Because maybe somedays don't become special because something amazing happened.

Maybe they become special simply because we didn't know we'd never get them back.

If you could relive one ordinary day from your past, would you

So beautifully realatable 🥺we often miss the ordinary days only after they become memories. Sometimes the moments we never thought twice about are the ones we’d give anything tie experience once more

yeah like even though it's happening right now but i already get this weird feeling that someday this whole phase will also pass and just become a nostalgic memory sometimes i actually get emotional thinking that the things I'm worrying about today might one day be the exact things I'll miss😭
