Juniors vs Seniors

Things have changed a lot. In the past seniors used to be ruff and tuff, juniors were nowhere to them , ragging was so frequent but now due to multiple reasons like anti - ragging law, anti - ragging policies etc. Now ragging is hardly found anywhere, it has become very rare , now seniors and juniors have been having good friendship where everyone knows how to respect eachother and how to behave with camaraderie. When I was in the Graduation i remember my seniors were so supportive since day first only. They used to ask us if we are having any problems, if we are having any kind of issues then we can ask them to help and they would definitely help us. Due to the supportive seniors, for us , who were just a school kid and came to the college, it became so easy to opt the college conditions. Anytime we felt anything we used to take their help. Since our seniors were so supportive that gave us a motivation of how a ideal seniors should look like. When we became seniors we tried to behave in a same manner with our juniors. For us Ragging means nothing, we never felt it, we never seen this. It is a generational lineage where every passing batches passes characteristics to another batch. Then it's come to my PG where we moved to different colleges where we were having juniors , those juniors who are juniors in terms of every other things, but they are seniors in terms of college, they are older than us in the college premises. We were just two months old PG students in the college and they are someone who were there since 1.5 years. Hence, they considered themselves as senior instead of us. One day during an organisational program all the juniors broke out in the protest seeking resignation of the principal, they wanted us to do support them in this incident their main motive was to put content and declared themselves super. Since they were having erstwhile grudges against the principal so wanted his resignation. On the other hand we were not in there support because for us principal was good. That is why they all planned against us and broke into the fight. They abused some of my women batchmates even they were in the group and only three boys from my batch was there they beat them and threaten us to file Ragging complain against us . Situations were so tense back then we could not go outside alone. Can you imagine the situation, we can not roam in the college premises just because we not supported their illegal demand. Oh gosh!
