This is a provoking topic. Closure is highly overrated in our culture, in my opinion. I've thought a lot about this topic. I have seen loved ones torn up, seeking this finality from the person who hurt them. This is what I've concluded. We all grow at such different rates. Is it realistic to think that someone who hurt you would be on the same emotional level to give you the healing you so dearly crave? Sometimes, writing that letter, you know, the letter that lets it all hang out there in graphic detail and pulls punches both toward the person who hurt you and yourself? Yeah, that honest one. This letter that you pour your soul into and then burn? Yeah, that's it. That's a universal closure. But it's done in a space of silence.
