People don't talk in sentences

The more I write and the more I talk, I'm realising that people don't talk in sentences.

Like we do have structure to what we say, we just don't make it into a sentence. When we're having a discussion or a conversation it's more natural to maintain the flow by not dividing it into sentences.

For example:

If i was naturally speaking to you I would use fillers words like like and because and and and so coz its much more easier to talk this way like it shows the flow of my thoughts without giving a pause coz I feel like a pause in conversation is an invitation for someone to enter, you know, like im done talking so now it's your turn.

That was a pain to read. Which is why we have sentences. I have never noticed anyone properly formulate their sentences with a proper start and full stop.

A formal speech or conversation is another matter. For an event the organiser was very posh speaking, and im now realising it's because he spoke in sentences. And to us, that was posh.

Like I said, we use a lot of filler words and conjunctions. The easiest are and, like, and because (or coz in casual conversations). It's easier to maintain the flow and follow along while speaking, whereas while reading or writing it clutters the page and loses the context.

This is something interesting that I noticed while having debates and discussions. We only pause for commas and question marks while speaking.

The revelation made me so surprised. Even the most talented speakers I know talk like this. Maybe it's an outcome of culture and just evolution of languages. it's so interesting to note how we all have our own quirks while talking.

Try observing how you speak or the conversations around you. I guarantee you will not be able to find the full stop in between.
