One of the biggest festivals Navratri has already begun. Devi Mata has already taken the control of the planet earth and is spreading positive. Yesterday I visited a Devi nearby and was pleasantly surprised with an unusual experience.

As a religious person I visited a nearby place where Devi was being worshipped. I visited the place and prayed. I prayed for the health and wellbeing of my family and my nation. I closed my eyes and absorbed Devi's energy. I felt as if Devi was ready to grant my wishes. I felt the warmth of the Goddess. I opened my eyes to see the divine Idol of Devi Mata smiling down at me, her worshipper. Beholding her blessings in my heart, I was about the leave.

This is when I saw a group of men. They were dressed up in bright red outfits. Looking at their appearance I knew that these men are were there to perform Bhajan and Kirtan in front of the devi. Their are outfits were interesting. The outfits appeared similar to the warriors of 15th and 16th century. Red outfits had been vibrant enough to catch my attention. They had the musical instruments to be played during the Bhajan and kirtan. From their dialect I could understand that they were from villages of central part of Maharashtra. I must say that this men in the traditional outfit look majestic. They too had been radiating the positive energy.

I saw one of the men in that group who was elderly. He had a kind face like the grandfathers have. He definitely looked like he had been worshiping the Goddess for several years. He had that glow on his face that is generally scene on the faces of worshippers. I smiled at him and politely asked him if I could take his picture. He was delighted. He immediately agreed to be photographed. Without wasting any time I quickly took his picture. I showed him the photo. He was happy with the result.

Then I moved to the next man in his group. This man appeared to be in his 40s. He appeared to be one of the musicians in the group. He too had been dressed up in similar attire. He was sitting on the chair having the musical instrument on his lap. I asked his consent for being photographed. He too promptly agreed. I took his photo and showed him the result. He liked the photo that I had taken but what he said next surprised me, "are you going to upload it anywhere?"

I did not expect him to ask that question. I told him that I had a not decided. I also informed that we rarely get to see people dressed up in the traditional attire for Bhajan and hence decided to take his picture. He smiled at me and told me, "you should upload this photo on Instagram. You will get a lot of likes and followers".

I was shocked to hear this from him. Or maybe it was my ignorance that I believed a rural man may not be aware of social media. Regardless he insisted that I should put it on social media and I decided to comply with his request.

It was a complete surprise for me that a worshipper from a village had social media craze. Needless to say it will become a prized memory.

Is that him in the picture? He definitely looks amazing in the traditional attire. I would not be surprised if a man from village asked me to post him on social media. They have social media craze in the villages.
