When Life Got Busy

When Life Got Busy

Growing up sounded exciting when we were kids. Nobody told us that one day, “What do you want to do?” would slowly become “What do you need to get done?” Work. Bills. Family. Responsibilities. Deadlines. Expectations. Somewhere between all of it, we stopped asking ourselves when was the last time we actually did something just because we wanted to. We keep saying, “I’ll rest when things settle down.” But there’s always another responsibility waiting. And the saddest part? We’re becoming so good at taking care of everything and everyone that we barely remember how to take care of ourselves. Maybe adulthood isn’t about having no time. Maybe it’s about realizing how easily we keep putting ourselves at the bottom of our own list.

The Wave That Wasn't For Me

The Wave That Wasn't For Me

You know that horrible little moment when you see someone across the road, they look directly at you, and they raise their hand? So you smile. You wave back. Maybe you even smile a little bigger because you think, Oh, they actually noticed me. And then they walk past you and hug the person standing behind you. Yeah. That happened to me. I stood there for approximately three seconds pretending I had absolutely no idea what had just happened. Then I suddenly became very interested in my phone. I checked notifications. Nothing. I opened Instagram. Closed it. Checked the time. Opened my phone again for no reason. The person probably forgot about it within five seconds. I didn't. I spent the next ten minutes replaying the entire situation in my head like it was a crime investigation. Why did

Anger Management

Anger is a natural emotion that everyone experiences at some point in life. However, learning how to manage anger is important because uncontrolled anger can affect our relationships, decisions, and peace of mind. When I feel angry, I should take a moment to understand what caused it instead of reacting immediately. Taking deep breaths, staying silent for a while, walking away from an argument, or talking to someone calmly can help reduce anger. I belive anger should not be suppressed, but it should be expressed in a healthy and respectful way. Sometimes people say things when they are angry that they later regret, so thinking before speaking is very important. Patience and understanding can prevent many unnecessary conflicts. By recognizing my triggers and learning to control my reaction

Teachers Day Special

Every teachera's Day. I notice how strange school memories are. I remember dusty classrooms, chalk on blackboards, noisy celling fans and teachers asking us to stop talking . Yet , years later, I remember their small sentences more clearly than entire lessons, somehow the people teachingbus became part of our lives. Back then I rarely understood the efforts behind those ordinary days. A teacher would enter carrying notebooka, arrange papers write dates on the board and somehow handle thirty different personalities before lunch. We mostly noticed the homework. Now, I realize teaching meant showing up repeatedly, even when students were difficult. I especially remember teachers who noticed things without making announcementa. One asked why I looked unusually quiet. Another stayed after class

The Amazingness of Creativity

Sometimes I think creativity is the strangest thing our brains can do. You can be sitting with a half finished cup of tea, staring at a blank notebook and suddenly an idea appears from nowhere. There is no notification announcing it. It simply arrives , inconveniently , while you're supposed to be doing something important. I used to think creatively belonged to painters, writers, musicians and people who could casually draw perfect faces without erasing anything. Then I noticed it everywhere. Someone rearranging furniture to make a tiny room feel bigger is being creative. Someone inventing a recipe from leftovers is creative too. It is much bigger. What amazed me most is how creatively connects completely unrelated things. A song can remind you of a childhood afternoon. A conversation can

The beauty of memes

Some mornings begin with coffee and end with another deadline. Somewhere in between, I open my phone for five minutes and accidentally spend twenty looking at memes. Honestly, I have stopped pretending this is productive. Lately I wonder whether memes are one of the few things keeping everyday life serious. Everything feels serious now College, jobs, money, politics, climate change, family expectations, relationships and even replying to messages somehow come with pressure. Then a friend sents a stupid meme about failing at adulthood and suddenly the group chat understands the joke. Nobody solved anything, but tension becomes easier to carry. That is what I find beautiful about memes. They turn private frustration into something shared. Someone struggling with deadlines posts a joke about

The School Years I Never Talk About

The School Years I Never Talk About

People always say, “School days are the best days of your life.” I wish that had been true for me. For me, school wasn't just classrooms, uniforms, lunch breaks, and friends. It was constantly wondering whether I was good enough, worrying about what people thought of me, and learning to stay quiet even when something hurt. There were days when I would come home and pretend everything was normal because explaining what happened felt harder than pretending it didn't matter. I remember laughing with everyone sometimes, while secretly counting the minutes until I could go home. The strange thing about school is that everyone remembers the fun moments—the annual days, birthdays, silly jokes, and group photos. But nobody talks about the moments that quietly change you. I left school eventually

A Love That Stayed

A Love That Stayed

He used to call me "Sunshine" with so much love....and somehow, that one word still feels like home. We were miles apart, but every night felt close. Hours of VC, endless chats, little fights too much care and even more love. We had reached a point where no one else felt as good as each other. We genuinely thought we'd make it—dreamed of being together, of a future that was ours. But then caste came between us. And just like that, the future we had imagined started slipping away. We lost the plans, the promises, the little dreams... but the memories stayed. Maybe some people leave your life, but the love they gave you never really leaves. 💔

A call

A Call I Can Never Forget My Father worked in abroad. In 2010, When I was in 10th Standard, I Received a Phone Call that Changed my whole life.I never thought that one call would bring such a big change. The call was from my dad's Boss. They told my mother that my dad had met with an accident and that his leg was injured. My Father came back to India and underwent a major surgery. That was a very difficult time for our family. We sufferd a lot during those days, and that incident is something I can never forget. That difficult time taught me the true meaning of Patience.

I am soon moving to georgia for my higher studies

I am moving to Georgia soon for my higher studies. I was so happy after I got the admission letter from there but as the days get closer to my departure it feels weird. This was my dream to move out from my parents and try to live on my own. Being an elder child i have always been restricted from going out , meeting frds and all.. basically I didn’t have any freedom i have always did what my parents wants never i got a chance to express because even if i try to explain them it will get rejected so it was kind of waste for me to explain them. I started planning to leave this country but now as the days are coming near, I feel weird. My heart sinks idk why but it feels like I won't be able to do it, or it won't turn out the way I wished for. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure, I was so ha

The things I could do for my father...

The things I could do for my father...

If i'd describe all the things I could do for my father, others might think I am strange or weird,"maybe a little too devoted" they might say ,however,if they knew all the things my father had done for me,I think they'd understand the concept of unconditional love a little better. When I feel a bit sentimental than average, I think back about all his hard work, his tears, his laugh, his distressed face, his relief face and all the plethora of face he's make just to make me giggle when I was young. I often think about his love,it's like a vast and spacious sky, sometimes cloudy sometimes bright, I compare his face to the brightest and sunniest day for it is my favourite. I think about his grumpy face when I told his about my crush for there is no one in the world who deserve his little princess

longing for love

I always feel segregated from all my friends as if I am world away from them and that is simply because i am not a relationship person.i never once had a boyfriend in my 23 years of life. I long to feel heartbreak, joy and co-dependency with someone like my friends but whenever I talk to someone, I feel like they lost their interest in me pretty quick ....I don't know why.i guess I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder with all the messy relationships around me...I guess they feel like I am hard to talk and i often get comments about how I should act as my gender. I pretty broken up about that. And of course in the midst of all i realised maybe I am gay??? Lord knows i don't want to be especially because i live in such an uptight society that will never accept me as 'normal' if that is the c

I notice more than I say

I think I'm the kind of person who notices really small changes in people Like when someone who normally texts alot suddenly starts replying differently When someone's "I'm fine" doesn't actually sounds fine. When someone's way of talking changes , even if they haven't said anything is wrong Sometimes i notice things that probably aren't even meant to be noticed. A different tone , a shorter reply , someone being unusually quiet and then , unfortunately my brain decides to think about it for the next three business days😮‍💨 I've always been like this. I remember random things people tell me , even they probably don't remember saying them. I'll remember someone's favourite thing , something they were excited about , or some completely unnecessary detail from a conversation months agoo I do

Unread at 2:17 PM

Unread at 2:17 PM

At 2:17 PM, my phone was full of messages I hadn’t answered yet. Not because I didn’t care. Not because I was ignoring anyone. I just didn’t have the energy to keep switching between work, responsibilities, conversations, and the version of myself everyone expects to see. There were deadlines waiting, notifications popping up, and a hundred little things asking for my attention. I kept telling myself, “I’ll deal with it later.” Later became evening. Evening became tomorrow. And somehow, tomorrow always brought something new. The strange thing is, I can reply to everyone else even when I’m exhausted. I can finish tasks when I don’t feel like working. I can keep showing up when my motivation disappears. But when it comes to checking in with myself, my message somehow stays unread. Maybe I’ve

A day in my life

A day in my life

It is not often that i journal about my own day. I have always been a “dear diary, I don’t know why I am such a failure…” and never a “dear diary, you won’t believe what happened today…” kind of a person. Mostly because I write more about what i feel than what brings about that feeling, which is mostly because I often want yo write about what is going wrong than what is going right. But today, I really want to write about my day. It is not that today was perfect in any sort, it was not a day where all things just went right or a day where some miracle swept me by my feet. It was simply a day where I was content right where I was and did not seek or yearn for a yesterday or a tomorrow, or for something I have had or something I can not have. It was a day where I focused on today and the th

The beauty of mathematics

I used to think liking mathematics meant enjoying calculations. Now I think I like something stranger the moment a messy problem suddenly becomes clear. There is something satisfying about sitting with a notebook, crossing out wrong answers, and finding the pattern hiding underneath, somehow, numbers somehow make confusion feel organized. What I enjoy most is that mathematics rarely accepts "because I said so". If anything answe is correct, there is usually a reason behind it. During college problems. When everyone is complaining about assignments. I like tracing each step and seeing how one tiny decisions eventually controls the whole soultion. Of course I have hated mathematics too. There are evenings when a single problem has occupied my notebook for forty minutes, while my calculator

The coffee break that saved my day

Today was one of these days where my laptop seemed offended by my existence. Emails arrived faster than I could answer them, meetings multiplied like unpaid bills, and every task became urgent at exactly the same time. By three o'clock, even opening. Excel felt like an act of emotional violence. Then someone asked the message st beautiful question knows to office workers "coffee?" Suddenly, six exhausted adults developed the coordination of a military operation. Chairs rolled back laptops stayed unlocked, and every one escaped toward the pantry. Nobody said we needed a break. We simply understood. Honestly caffeine has its own emergency communication system. Our coffee machine made its auspicious noiscs, sounds less like equipment and more like an old scooter refusing to start. Someone com

Last winter, I had a particularly busy week

Last winter, I had a particularly busy week. I had assignments to complete, classes to attend, and several small things to manage at home. I felt that I was constantly running out of time. One morning, I was getting ready in a hurry when my grandmother asked me to sit with her for a few minutes. She wanted to tell me something about an old photograph she had found.I told her, “I’ll listen later. I’m getting late.”She simply smiled and said, “Okay.” I left without thinking much about it.That evening, when I came home, I saw the photograph lying on the table. I picked it up and asked her about it. She started telling me about the people in the picture, where it was taken, and what life was like at that time. I noticed how happy she looked while talking about it. We probably spoke for only fi

The Pressure Nobody Sees

The Pressure Nobody Sees

Nobody really talks about the pressure of becoming someone while you’re still figuring out who you are. Everyone asks what you’re going to do next, what you’re studying, where you’re going, what you’ll achieve, how successful you’ll become. And sometimes I just want to say— “I don’t know yet.” I’m trying to make decisions with a mind that changes every other week. I’m trying to meet expectations I never agreed to. I’m trying to make my parents proud, build a future, not disappoint people, and somehow still enjoy being young. The strange part is, from the outside, I probably look completely fine. I attend classes. I laugh. I reply to messages. I make plans. Nobody sees the tiny panic behind every “what if I’m not good enough?” Maybe growing up isn’t scary because we don’t know the futu

The Version Nobody Met

The Version Nobody Met

There’s a version of me that nobody really knows. She laughs louder. She speaks without rehearsing her words first. She doesn’t constantly wonder if she’s being “too much” or whether someone’s energy has changed. She leaves when something hurts instead of staying just because she’s attached. Sometimes I think she disappeared somewhere between trying to be understood and trying not to disappoint everyone. People know the version of me that learned when to stay quiet, when to forgive, when to pretend something didn’t hurt, and when to say “it’s okay” even when it wasn’t. But somewhere underneath all of that, there’s still that girl. Maybe she isn’t gone. Maybe she’s just waiting for a place where she doesn’t have to shrink herself to belong. And maybe one day, I’ll stop being afraid of becom

“Maybe This Is Growth… ✨”

Nobody talks about how strange it feels to become a new version of yourself. You lose old habits, old connections, old expectations....and suddenly, you are standing somewhere unfamiliar. But maybe that's growth. Maybe becoming unfamiliar to yourself is simply the beginning of discovery who you truly are. ✨🤍 And maybe, this time, you don't need to become someone else to be enough. You just need to become more of yourself.🌙✨

Things I wish I knew earlier

There are honestly so many things I wish I knew earlier. I wish I knew that I don't need to have my whole life planned out already. I used to get really stressed about what I'm going to do , whether I'm making the right choices and why everyone else seems to know exactly where they're going. Sometimes I still feel like that but I've realised that most people are probably just figuring out as they go too. I wish I knew that changing your plans is okayy. You can completely sure about something today and feel differently about it a few months later. It doesn't mean YOU WASTED YOUR TIME. Sometimes you jus need to try things to understand what actually feels right for you. I wish I knew that you shouldn't hold on to people jus because you have known them for a long time. THINGS I NEVER SAY OUT LOUD ...

Sometimes I disappear - not because I stopped caring but to know does my presence or absence makes any change. I wonders whether I really mattered. Sometimes silence is far better than being unwanted. Just decided to give my life a new soul , to love myself and to bring the real me out of the darkness...

Insecurity masked as love

it took me a really long time to understand that some people are really self centered and are just amazing at hiding it from others i had a colleague who eventually became a friend. i was being myself around her. yet she will never let go of a chance to get drunk and push me to drink despite me being vocal i am not interested. next is her obsesssion over my dating life despite she having a boyfriend and later marrying him. the extent she would go to only talk about it often when i am not even expressing interest in talking about it, now feels funny i never rub what i have and i dont have in anyone’s face. i do not care for such things. but she often irrelevant to the discussion brings her attachment to her dad, her student loans and so on into thr topic. most importantly when on surface s

Feeling of left out

It never struck me as being neglected until it took ages for me to realise it. I also give everyone the benefit of doubt. But when people are curious about your life but are not wiling to share their life with you but they do so with everyone else. It feels not weird but outright as being cast out. As in i am fit for them to feed me even when i did not ask. They were happy to poke their noses into my life when I was minding my business but they did not bother to be honest. Then how does it matter when they try to be polite and kind. They never realised this is superficial?. Or they taught i am still naive that i will never realise it?. I am innocent not dumb. There is a huge difference in that. It is amazing that they preach about being in touch with others but they dont follow it. This is
