Sometimes I look back and think, “what

Sometime I look back at certain moments of my life and think, “What if I had made a different decision? Maybe my life would have been different.”
And honestly, sometimes that thought still hurts. I wish I could go back and tell that version of myself to look at things differently.
But I also know I can’t change what has already happened. With time I’ve started seeing those moments differently. The things that once made me feel angry, hopeless, lost and broken also taught me things I probably wouldn’t have learned any other way.
Maybe that phase wasn’t something I was supposed to change. Maybe it was something I was supposed to go through.
So now, I’m learning to be grateful for both the good and the difficult parts of my life. Because if those things hadn’t happened, I might not have become the person I am today.
Maybe growth is not about wishing the past was different. Maybe it’s about understanding why it shaped you, accepting it, and being grateful for how far you’ve come.
