Teachers Day Special

Every teachera's Day. I notice how strange school memories are. I remember dusty classrooms, chalk on blackboards, noisy celling fans and teachers asking us to stop talking . Yet , years later, I remember their small sentences more clearly than entire lessons, somehow the people teachingbus became part of our lives.

Back then I rarely understood the efforts behind those ordinary days. A teacher would enter carrying notebooka, arrange papers write dates on the board and somehow handle thirty different personalities before lunch. We mostly noticed the homework. Now, I realize teaching meant showing up repeatedly, even when students were difficult.

I especially remember teachers who noticed things without making announcementa. One asked why I looked unusually quiet. Another stayed after class because I had misunderstood something. Sometimes their help was simply saying , " Try again." It sounds small butcwhen you are sixteen and convinced you cannot do something, it matters

Of course, teachers were not always perfect and neither were we . Some classes felt painfully long, some scoldings seemed unfair and sometimes the entire class collectively prayed that the teacher would forget the assignment. Still thouse moments became stories later.bEven the strict teachers eventually became part of our nostalgia.

What surprises me most is how little we understood their lives . We saw them from Monday morning until afternoon , but not their worries, family problems, tiredness or the work waiting after school. They corrected note books whilebwe packed bags. We complained about homework while they probably carried much heavier Responsibilities.

That is why Teacher's day feels different now. It is not really about flowers, chocolates, greetings cards, or a carefully rehearsed speech on stage. Those things are nice, but what remembering someone who made you believe you were capable, especially during a time when you doubted yourself.

I also think teachers rarely know which sentence stays with a student. An encouragement can return years later during an interview, presentation, exam or difficult decision

Somewhere between deadlines and ordinary routines, their words continue working quietly. Perhaps that is the strange privilege of teaching changing lives without witnessing it.

So, this Teacher's Day, I think about the teachers whose names still appear in my memories. Some taught formulas, grammar, science or history. Others taught patience, confidence, discipline or simply how to keep trying. We eventually leave classrooms, but we carry pieces of them forward. That honestly feels worth remembering.

And for a special mention for this post, I think that the teachers need not only be the teachers..it can be your friend who reached you and learns with you or a ex who thought you life lessons or a random stranger that you saw on a reel who taught you about one thing that you still use today. And teaching need not only be a academic element. It can be a life lesson or a simple thing that makes your life easy or even sometime, a thing that changes your perspective on how you see things.

When a teacher's words stay with you years later, do you
