The birthday text

Nobody remembered my birthday until evening. I kept checking my phone throughout the day pretending Ibwas only looking at the notifications. Every time the screen lit up, a tiny part of my hoped it was someone wishing me. By lunchtime I felt ridiculous for caring so much about something J has told everyone didn't matter.
Then my friend messaged, apologising for remembering late. I replied " It's Okay!!!" almost immediately. It wasn't entirely okay but I didn't know how to explain that I hadn't wanted a party or an expensive gift. I had just wanted to feel remebered without having to remind anyone. The embarassing part is that I would probably do the same thing again next year: pretend I don't care, then secretly hope someone proves me wrong.
acchi apni birthday ke din hi aapko yah pata chalta Hai ki aap Kisi ki jindagi mein kitne important Ho
I felt this so much. That whole day of checking your phone and pretending you don't care but secretly hoping someone remembers is the worst feeling. You wrote it so honestly, I hope your next birthday is full of wishes right from the morning.
Happy birthday to you, may all wishes come true. It hurts when our own people forget our birthday, we feel side tracked by their behavior. But thanks to that one friend who remembered. That friend is a hero. It is one sad facts that as we grow up, life becomes busy to remember and celebrate birthdays.
