The bus that didn't wait

Anonymous6 days agoWrite Freely103 words

I missed my usual bus this morning and immediately blamed everything. Including my alarm ⏰, the traffic 🚦; and the universe. While waiting for the next one. I helped an elderly man pick up the oranges 🍊 that had rolled from his bag 🛍️. We started talking, and he told me about the small bookstore he had owned for thirty years. By the time my bus arrived, I had completely forgotten my irritation. I reached work late, but for ones, I didn't feel as though the morning 🌅 had been wasted. Perhaps not every delay to be recovered. Some deserve to be experienced.

This is such a heartwarming story. The way you started with frustration about the alarm, traffic and universe and ended up forgetting all the irritation after helping that man - so beautiful. Sometimes missing a bus actually makes your day better. Loved the part about his small bookstore, would love to hear more stories like this.

Sometimes the delays we curse become the moments we cherish. ❤️🍊 A beautiful reminder that not every unexpected detour is a waste of time; some lead us to the most meaningful human connections.
