The day I learned to read the instructions
Today, I opened something new and almost started using it immediately. Then I noticed the instructions and decided to read them first. It felt strangely mature. I remembered how often I assumed I could figure everything out through trial and error. Sometimes confidence is knowing when to slow down first.
People online regularly joke about ignoring manuals until some goes wrong , but many admit that reading instructions saves time and frustration. I laughed at myself today.Maybe growing up includes replacing impulsive confidence with patient attention. It is not exciting, but it prevents unnecessary problems and teaches responsibility.
