The day I noticed how quickly people forgive small mistakes
Today, I made a small social mistake and spent much longer worrying about it than anyone else did.the person simply laughed, accepted my apology and continued talking. I realized talking . I realized I had been punishing myself for something the other person has already forgotten.
People online often describe replaying embarrassing moments long after everyone else has moved on. I understood that today. Maybe our minds preserve awkward moments because they want to protect us from repeating them. But rembering is different from constantly reliving . Today I decided to learn the lesson and let the embarrassment become smaller.

True. I too continue to play embarrassing moments in my head. Though others forgive I sometimes do not forgive myself for some mistakes. Maybe such mistakes or memories keep us on our toes that is why our brain keeps them at the pinnacle of thoughts.
