The first time I said I needed more time
Today someone asked me to make a decision quickly, and I almost agreed simply because I felt pressured. Instead, I said I needed more time to think. The sentences was simple, but saying it felt difficult. I had always believed hesitation made me look uncertain. Today , it felt responsible instead.

I am beginning to understand that asking for time is not avoiding responsibility. Sometimes it is how we take responsibility seriously enough to choose carefully.
