The last light turned off
Today, empty classroom became the unexpected center of my day. I had been thinking about my own errands and small worries, so I nearly missed what was happening. Then someone returned to switch off lights after everyone had left ⬅️. The moment was ordinary, but it interrupted my thoughts and made.
I was thinking about getting good marks so that my parents will buy that chicken sandwich that I wanted. It was the tradition we followed since I was kid to encourage us or something. And this time I was making plans in my head to study and learn. Tbh I was very demotivated and then suddenly when the light came along with some little breeze that brought my favourite song from the hostel radio, that has refreshed for a second and even then I was not motivated but I was feeling positive about my favourite chicken sandwich.
Later, I kept returning to that moment because responsibility mattered even when nobody noticed. People share similar everyday experiences online, where a brief gesture can mean more than its size suggests. I realized that care does not always arrive as a speech or a grand sacrifice.
Sometimes, the smallest moments bring the biggest changes to our mood. ❤️ I loved how you connected an ordinary classroom moment with the excitement of earning your favourite chicken sandwich! 😂🍗 Sometimes, motivation doesn’t arrive as a sudden determination to conquer the world; sometimes, it’s just a little breeze, a favourite song, and the thought of a delicious reward waiting for you. And honestly, there’s something so wholesome about childhood traditions that continue to make us happy even as we grow older. We may not always feel motivated to work hard, but having something small to look forward to can make the journey a little easier. 🌸
