The last seat on the bus
Today, I missed my usual bus and had to wait for the next one. At first, I was irritated because every minute felt wasted. Then I noticed people around me: a student revising notes, an old man watching traffic, and a child langhing at pigeons. The delay suddenly felt different.
I realized I spend so much time trying to reach the next thing that I forget to notice where I already am. Nothing important happened during those twenty minutes, yet they felt peaceful. Maybe not every minute needs to be productive. Some minutes can simply exist, quietly passing, without demanding anything from me.

Sometimes an unexpected pause is exactly what we need. We’re so busy rushing toward the next thing that we forget to appreciate the quiet moments happening right in front of us. Beautifully written. 🌿
