The Little Creature That Owns The House

I never really understood people who said cats are "just pets"

Because if you have a cat, you already know that's not how it works.

You don't own a cat. The cat simply decides that you are useful enough to live in the same house.

One minute they're sleeping peacefully somewhere, looking completely innocent, and the next minute they are staring at you like you've personally dissappointed them.

And somehow, they have the funniest little habits.

Mine can ignore me for hours, but the second i sit somewhere comfortably, suddenly that's the exact place they want to be. I'll move a little so they have space, and they'll still somehow choose the smallest possible corner right next to me.

Then there are those random 3AM moments when they suddenly have enough energy to run around the entire house like they've been waiting all day for the exact moment.

And don't even get me started on food.

They can have a perfectly full bowl sitting right to there, but apparently the food becomes much more interesting when I'm eating mine.

"Tumhara khana zyada accha kyun hai?"

As if i made the rules.

But honestly, i think that's what make cats so special. They don't constantly demand your attention . Sometimes they just sit somewhere near you, doing absolutely nothing, and somehow their presence makes the room feel different.

There are days when i don't even notice how much time I've spent watching them sleep, play or randomly stare at a wall like they've discovered something I can't see.

And maybe the best thing about having a cat. You don't need some big moment.

Sometimes it's just them walking into your room, sitting beside you for 5 minutes, and then leaving without an explanation.

No conversation.

No reason.

Just cat behaviour.😭💗

I genuinely wonder what goes on inside their heads.

Do they actually recognise their names? Do they know when we're talking about them? Do they understand when were laughing at something they did?

Or are they secretly judging all of us?

And one more important question:

Does your cat actually love you, or does it just tolerate you because you provide food?😮‍💨

But honestly, after all the complaining I just did, I really do love my cat more than i can properly explain. There's something so comforting about having this tiny little creature around, following its own rules and somehow becoming such a big part of my Everyday life.

Even when it ignores me , ruins my sleep, or looks at me with those cute little eyes, i still wouldn't want my days without it.😭💗
