The People Who Love Too Much and Fear Too Deeply

Nobody talks about how exhausting it is to be someone with attachment issues. How you can spend an entire day smiling, laughing, and pretending everything is fine, only to lie in bed
at night wondering whether the people you love still feel the same about you.It is a strange kind of suffering because, from the outside, nothing seems wrong. You have people to talk to, messages to read, and memories to revisit. But inside, you are constantly fighting battles nobody knows exist. You notice everything. The change in their tone, the shorter replies, the conversations that suddenly feel different. You remember how they used to say goodnight, how quickly they once replied, how effortlessly they made you
feel wanted. And when something changes, even slightly, your heart begins preparing for a loss your mind cannot explain. You hate how much you care. You hate waiting for messages, rereading conversations, and feeling your mood change because someone important to you seems distant. You hate needing reassurance about things you wish you could simply believe. And sometimes, you hate yourself for it.You tell yourself to stop overthinking. You promise yourself that tomorrow you will care less, expect less, and stop checking whether they are online. But then they send one sweet message, call you by a familiar name, or laugh at something you say, and suddenly, everything feels beautiful again. That is the exhausting part. The same person who can make your entire day with a few words can also leave you fighting tears without even knowing they have hurt you.People call you clingy. They tell you to get a life, to stop being so emotional, to learn how tolive without needing anyone so much. What they do not understand is that you are already trying. You are trying so hard to be normal about things that feel painfully significant to you.Sometimes, you become angry when what you really feel is fear. Sometimes, you withdraw before someone can leave you. Sometimes, you ask for reassurance repeatedly, not because you want to control someone, but because the comfort never seems to last long enough.
And the saddest part? You can be surrounded by love and still struggle to feel secure in it.People with attachment issues do not necessarily love more than everyone else. But they may experience the uncertainty of love more intensely, carrying fears they struggle to explain even to themselves.
They deserve patience, understanding, and the chance to heal without being made to feel ashamed of their feelings.Because beneath all that overthinking, beneath the need for reassurance and the fear of being forgotten, there is often a heart that desperately wants to believe that this time, someone will stay.
Not because they are impossible to leave, but because they are loved enough to feel safe.
When someone you love seems distant, do you
Your vote is final.
Whenever it happens with my friends I probe them. If I see they do not intend to answer, I do not pester. I tell them whenever they want to talk, they can approach me. Caring for others is important at the same time I prefer giving them time and space. By far that worked for me.
