I feel like so much of the work that keeps a household running smoothly goes unnoticed simply because it's already done before everyone else begins their day. Someone has thought about breakfast, prepared things for later, cleaned up yesterday's mess, and remembered all those tiny details that others might not even realise needed attention. And the thing is, this work isn't always limited to physical tasks. There's also the mental effort of remembering what everyone needs, planning ahead, and making sure nothing important gets forgotten. I think we sometimes appreciate the big gestures more easily than these everyday acts of care, because they happen so quietly and repeatedly that they start feeling like a normal part of life. But just because something happens every day doesn't mean it requires no effort. There's a lot of love hidden in these little routines, especially when someone does them without expecting recognition. I hope we learn to notice these efforts more often and not wait for someone to feel exhausted before offering help. A simple thank you, or taking one task off someone's hands, can mean more than we realise. ❤️
