This is so relatable and bittersweet. You described that feeling so well, how a small shop changing can suddenly make your whole childhood feel far away. Those little things like choosing a toffee with pocket money felt like such big decisions back then. Nothing dramatic has to happen for nostalgia to hit, sometimes just a building looking smaller is enough.

This is such a beautiful reminder of how places hold pieces of our childhood. Sometimes, revisiting an old neighbourhood makes us realise how much has changed, even when we weren’t paying attention. That little free toffee probably meant more than we understood back then. It’s strange how the smallest memories leave the biggest imprints on our hearts. ❤️
