Scent has this uncanny, almost frightening power to haul you back to a specific moment in time. That description captures such a raw, visceral feeling—where every snap of a twig feels like a threat and the cold air sinks straight into your bones. It's incredible how a sensory trigger like damp pine needles can instantly revive those old, primal shivers of vulnerability and tension from years ago, making the past feel entirely alive again.
