The strange feeling of growing up

Today I noticed that my parents still call me to ask whether I have eaten , even though I am slowly becoming independent. I smiled but later their simple question stayed with me. Growing up feels strange because I want freedom yet sometimes . I secretly miss being cared for without having to ask.

I have seen many students online describe this same feeling. - wanting independence while missing home and familiar routines.bit made me realize that adulthood is not suddenly becoming completely independent. Perhaps it is learning to carry responsibility while still appreciating the people who quietly supported us. Tonight, I called home first.
