Waiting for an important result

Anonymous1 hour agoWrite Freely103 words

Today, I waited for a result that mattered to me. I refreshed the page repeatedly even though I knew checking again would not make it arrive faster.Evwry notification made my heart madevmy heart jump. I realized how difficult uncertainty can be when something important feels completely outside my control.

Eventually, I put my phone away and did something else. The result had not changed, but my mind felt calmer. I learned that waiting is not always passive . Sometimes it is an exercise in patience. I cannot control every outcome, but I can control how much of my day I surrender to anticipation.

The constant refreshing is painfully relatable 😭. You know checking again won’t make the result come any faster, but somehow you still do it because waiting feels harder than knowing. Uncertainty really has a way of making even a few minutes feel much longer than they actually are.
