We are all trying here

I've recently watched a k-drama named We are all trying here and this was the best drama I've ever seen I mean really the comfort, the inspiration and a lot of things I got to learn just from this one drama. The male lead named Hwang Dong-man has spent his 20 years of life to become a film director. He belongs to a college group that is now full of award winning directors and producers. He was the only one left behind and never even debuted. He is left with self-doubt, worthlessness, endless envy and a lot of emotions I can't even describe while the others of his group were succeeded a long time ago. Then he meets the female lead named Byeon Eun-a . She was a producer, a really sharp-tounged producer. She was nicknamed The Axe for her brutal script reviews. She seems so calm and confident but inside her a war is always going on and she is so burnt out inside her overwhelmed by her own childhood bad and sad memories and incidents. So, these two tired and exhausted sould collide into each other at subway one evening while returning home from their work. Male lead can't stop talking because of his anxiety and female lead has learnt to hide her feelings completely. She always has a same expression occupied on her face. But after colliding into each other almost daily since that day, they became each other's safe place. They don't fix each other but recharge each other. You all must be thinking that why I'm telling you this and why should you watch this. Actually, this drama is like therapy mixed with industry satire. It is funny, warm, comforting but also brutally honest about life and people. It shows the ugly emotions we usually hide, the jealousy when one of our friend succeed, the quite joy when others fail, the exhaustion of pretending that everything is okay and many too. It reminds us of one and the most simple truth, everyone, not matter how successful they look from the outside, is fighting their own sense of worthlessness. And if you have ever compared yourself to others, felt burnt out, or wondered if your dreams are still worth chasing, this drama will seriously hit you deep. I would really recommend you to watch this masterpiece. It will change the perspective of how you see yourself and life. I'm saying it again that watching this masterpiece was the best choice I've ever made...

When you see someone else succeed where you've struggled, you

I really liked how you described the characters beyond just their surface personalities. Sometimes we forget that people can look completely fine while dealing with so much internally. The idea that everyone is simply trying their best in their own way feels very relatable. And I love when a drama leaves you with more than just a good story—when you actually take something from the characters and carry those lessons with you. It sounds like this one really stayed with you. 🤍
