What if I woke up as a google maps pin?.
I woke up today as a Google Maps pin, which sounds harmless untill I realized my entire existence depended on strangers tapping me. One minute I was marking a bakery, the next I was mysteriously placed in the middle of someone's uncle's house.
People kept dragging me around, zooming in, zooming out, and asking whether the road actually existed. I wanted to scream, " I don't know! I'm a pin!".
By evening, I had been used to find a hospital, a tea shop, and someone's forgotten wedding hall. Honestly, I never knew being useful could be this exhausting.
Tomorrow I hope someone finally pins me somewhere peaceful.

This is such a funny and creative way to look at something we normally don’t even think about 😭. The idea of being a Google Maps pin and constantly getting dragged around, zoomed in and out, while having absolutely no control over where you end up is hilarious. I especially liked the part about suddenly being placed in someone’s uncle’s house because that feels exactly like the kind of random thing that would happen on Maps. It’s also interesting how something as simple as a little location marker becomes part of so many people’s journeys without ever actually going anywhere itself. The whole concept is simple, but the way you turned an everyday feature into a character makes it genuinely entertaining to read.
