What Love Taught Me About Myself ❤️

Sometimes I wonder if love is really about finding someone who never hurts you, or about loving someone even after you've seen the parts of them that hurt you.
Love isn't about hiding things. If something hurts the person you love, you should be able to say it honestly—and when they ask you not to do something again, you hope they understand how much it matters to you. But sometimes, even after you've explained the same thing again and again, they still do it.
And that's the part I don't understand.
I can be angry. I can feel hurt. I can question everything. I can tell myself that I should stop caring.
But somehow, I still can't dislike him.
Maybe that's the strange thing about my heart. It remembers the hurt, but it still reaches for the same person.
I don't know if that's weakness, forgiveness, or simply love.
I only know that even after everything, a part of me still wants him. ❤️🩹
I think we will understand 'love' better if we love ourselves first. We will understand what makes us feel special or upset. Let the love be the teacher with us being the students.
I think sometimes loving someone deeply can make us forget where love should have boundaries too. You can understand someone’s mistakes, forgive them, and still care about them without having to accept everything they do. Loving someone doesn’t mean losing yourself in the process. The difficult part is knowing when you’re staying because you genuinely want them, and when you’re staying because you’ve become attached to the idea of never letting them go.
