When I realized I could change my mind without explaining everything

Today I changed my opinion about something after learning new information. My first reaction was embarrassment because I had previously spoken considerably about it. Then I realized changing my mind was actually evidence that I had learned something.I did not need to defend my old opinion simply because it was mine.

Online discussions often become heated when people change their positions, yet many thoughtful conversations celebrate reconsideration. That stayed with me. Being consistent should not mean refusing new information. Today taught me that changing my mind can be honest rather than weakness. I would father update my thinking than protect an outdated belief
