When I realized my phone remembers more than I do

Today, I searched my phone for an old file and discovered photographs, and notes I had completely forgotten. My phone seemed to contain tiny places of days. I could barely remember. It felt strange seeing proof of moments that had once seemed important enough to save.

People online often describe scrolling through old camara rolls, and discovering forgotten versions of their lives. I understood the feeling today. Digital memories accumulating quietly until something brings tham back. I do not want to save everything. But I now appreciate now appreciate how technology accidentally preserves places of ordinary days that my mind eventually let's go.
