When Life Got Busy

Growing up sounded exciting when we were kids.
Nobody told us that one day, “What do you want to do?” would slowly become “What do you need to get done?”
Work. Bills. Family. Responsibilities. Deadlines. Expectations.
Somewhere between all of it, we stopped asking ourselves when was the last time we actually did something just because we wanted to.
We keep saying, “I’ll rest when things settle down.”
But there’s always another responsibility waiting.
And the saddest part?
We’re becoming so good at taking care of everything and everyone that we barely remember how to take care of ourselves.
Maybe adulthood isn’t about having no time.
Maybe it’s about realizing how easily we keep putting ourselves at the bottom of our own list.
