When my favourite shop changed

Today, I noticed that the small shop near my college had changed its signboard and appearance. It looked cleaner, but strangely unfamiliar. I remembered buying snacks there after classes, standing with friends, counting coins, and discussing completely unnecessary things. Seeing the new sign made those ordinary afternoon feel surprisingly distant.

The Shop had not really done anything wrong, it had simply changed . Still I realized how attached we become to places because of the memories inside them. Buildings can be renovated businesses can change and people can move away. Yet the feelings connected to those places can remain quietly alive within us .
