When the Past Finds Its Way Into the Present ❤️🩹

Sometimes I wish I could go back and change certain parts of my past.
Not because I want to erase who I was, but because some choices followed me much longer than I ever expected.
I was young. I made mistakes. I trusted people I shouldn't have, stayed in situations that didn't feel right, and sometimes confused attention, attachment, and excitement with love.
I can't undo any of that.
But what hurts is when the past becomes something you have to keep defending, even after you've grown, learned, and changed.
There comes a point when you just want to say:
“That was me then. This is me now.”
I know I've made mistakes. I know there are things I wish I had handled differently.
But I also know that the person I became after those mistakes is real.
I don't want my past to decide whether I deserve peace, love, or a future.
I just want to be loved for the person I became—not punished forever for the person I once was.
Exactly. Future is in your hand
