When your best friend becomes a stranger

Sometimes loosing a friend hurts more than any relationship.

Not cause something traumatic happened. There was no fight , no arguments and no final words .Sometimes a friendship simply becomes one sided until one person gets tired knowvking on the door that’s no longer being opened .

I once believed that the fiends we make during the most important years of our lives will remain with us forever . we share classrooms ,secrets ,silly jokes,difficult exams ,birthdays and countless ordinary moments that don’t feel important until they become memories .

Then life happens .

People get jobs , move to better places , meet new people and become busy .At first you understand you make calls . Then other . you forgive the cancelled plans and unanswered texts .You tell yourself maybe they’re busy .

But eventually you notice something painful : you’re the only one trying .

And perhaps the hardest part isn’t lossinh then it’s realising they had already let go while you were still holding on

Years later you may hear their name and feel nothing . Not anger , not sadness just a strange familiarity .

They were once your person .

Now they’re simple someone you used to know once .

And maybe that’s how some friendships end . Not with goodbye but with silence .
