Women are not safe. Period. There is no debate about it. Crimes against women keep increasing day by day on a global scale. No western country is an exception too where women feel safe. This is the high time to evaluate why the environments continue to be unsafe for women.

Men often joke that why there should be a women's day when every day is women's day. But is that so? If every day was women's day, why do we not feel safe? Every place we visit, we need to be careful. Nowhere we can relax and we can keep our guard down. We are always in a flight and fight mode. Even in 2026, as a woman, I feel unsafe at most places.

I really like this perspective because celebrating women should never be limited to a festival or a particular day. It's easy to worship goddesses and talk about women's strength, but the real meaning lies in how we treat women in our everyday lives. Every woman deserves respect, freedom, safety, and the right to make her own choices without constantly having to prove her worth. Sometimes we forget that the women around us are also fighting their own battles, carrying responsibilities, hiding their worries, and trying their best even when nobody notices. A woman shouldn't have to be extraordinary to deserve kindness; simply being human should be enough. I think the real celebration begins when respect becomes a habit rather than something we practise only on special occasions. ❤️
