Chapter 13 — They Wanted Me to Let Him Go ❤️‍🩹

After everything that had happened, my mother, my father, and I left for the village.
Even while we were travelling, I was still texting him.
I told him,
“I'm going to the village.”
He immediately started asking me not to go.
“Please don't go. If you go, we don't know what will happen next week. We don't know what they'll do there. Please get down from the car.”
He even told me to make an excuse.
“Tell them you're going to the washroom and come out. Run away. I'll come and pick you up. Please come.”
He was scared of what might happen once I reached there.
But I still didn't listen.
I stayed in the car.
And I went to the village.
By then, all the tension and stress had started affecting me physically. I had lost weight and become much thinner than I was before.
When I reached the village, my mother's brother's wife noticed how thin I had become.
She told me,
“Why aren't you eating? You've become so thin. Eat properly.”
For the first one or two days, nobody really said anything.
Everything was quiet.
But I knew there was still something waiting for me.
