I got lost on purpose.

Maps said left. My heart said right.
So I followed my heart.

The main road was crowded.
But the gali I took was quiet.
Walls full of paintings, kids playing cricket, and aunties gossiping from balconies.

My phone battery was 4%.
My courage was also 4%.

I asked a shopkeeper, "Bhaiya, ye jagah kaha jaati hai?"
He laughed and said, "Beta, tum to bilkul opposite aa gayi. Par ruko, chai piyo pehle."

10 minutes later I was sitting on a plastic chair.
Drinking cutting chai, eating samosa.
He introduced me to 3 other people.
One uncle told me about a hidden temple.
One didi told me where to get the best jalebi.
One kid offered to drop me till the main road.

I was supposed to reach my hotel in 20 minutes.
I reached in 2 hours.
But chapter four taught me:
Getting lost is not always bad.
Sometimes the wrong turn takes you to the right people.

I didn’t find the place I was looking for.
I found stories instead.

The city gave me directions.
But the people gave me memories.

Maybe I came to travel.
But I stayed because I got lost.

I really salute you for not following maps in an unknown area. That requires courage. Maybe it was your destiny to meet the new amazing people who would give you abundant memories.
