I think sometimes the hardest part of looking back is realising that even if we had the chance to return to the past, we still wouldn't be able to change everything the way we wanted. Some mistakes only make sense with time, and some experiences teach us things we couldn't have understood back then. I really liked the thought of wishing to go back and correct things, because it captures that feeling of wanting a different ending while knowing that the past is already part of our story. Maybe what matters is learning to make peace with the things we can no longer change and being kinder to the person we were at that time. 🤍
