After everything my ex had said and done, the situation at home became worse.
The house that was supposed to feel like home started feeling like a place I couldn't breathe in.
One day, my parents looked at me and said,
“If you want him so much, then get out of this house and go with him.”
I didn't know what to say.
I had already made my decision about whom I wanted to be with. But hearing those words from my own parents still hurt in a way I couldn't explain.
Then things reached the police station.
My parents took me there and called him too. They wanted to warn him and make him understand that they didn't want this relationship.
But the police said,
“They are both adults. We can't force them to separate.”
And this wasn't just one visit.
I went to the police station two or three times during everything that was happening.
Even my workplace became part of the situation.
My parents knew my manager, so they spoke to him too.
“Look at what she's doing. She wants him, not us.”
My manager also tried to convince me.
But no matter how many people spoke to me, my answer inside my heart stayed the same.
I wanted him.
Then came a day when everything felt like it was reaching a breaking point.
My parents told me to leave.
They packed my bag.
And this time, I was actually almost on my way out.
I couldn't bear being at home anymore. The things they were saying were hurting me so much that I felt like I couldn't stay there another minute.
But there was another fear inside me.
He had almost lost hope that our families would ever allow us to get married.
And after everything he had already gone through with his surgery, I knew he couldn't handle too much stress either.
Sometimes, he was even falling because of his condition.
I was scared something might happen to him.
So there we were...
standing in the middle of the road.
And I was completely lost.
Should I go home?
Or should I go with him?
To be continued… ❤️🩹
