Can you see this picture?? While coming back to the home from college, our bus left us in between appoximately two to three kilometres away from my home. I thought, okay since walking is good for the health and due to hectic tight ,schedules i have not performed yoga from few days, hence instead of taking rikshaw i decided to walk . While walking through the footpath i lost the track, it was water logged all around the way, forget about the road even footpath was completely submerged in the water. I could not able to walk , I was not aware how to step forward since the footpath may or may not be there and what if potholes suddenly come in between, there was soo many thoughts running all across my mind , before putting every single step I used to keep alert. While moving ahead through that muddy water I got frustrated, it was the moment when I decided to capture the photo. And suddenly I grabbed my phone and captured the water logged muddy water scene. This event is not new ,not at all, since around two or three years we have been facing this severe conditions. If it's not raining then the road becomes full of dusty atmosphere and if it's raining then it becomes hardly visible. While moving across the road I found a motorbike which was all stuck in the water and the bike rider was trying very hard to get his bike out of the water, somehow he managed to make this possible. It's become so pathetic that no one is ready to cross that road during the rainy season not even a bus not even rickshaw and not even bike rider nothing, you left with no other option then walking through that muddy water. After covering around one km distance, as soon as I put my foot on the road only to realise it was nothing but a swamp, I was trying to free my foot out of the swamp but unfortunately i could barely walk, but there was a auto wala bhaiya he helped me to come out since my foot was stuck in the swamp. Then he gave me a bottle full of water to wash my hand and leg and then I called my younger brother to pick me up because in that condition I can not proceed. This was all the things I do not know when would the system open their eyes to see what the citizens have been facing. This is what everyone is facing.

When faced with a flooded road and no other option but to walk, do you

In Mumbai, this reality hits hard. Rain makes us stay at the same place for hours due to traffic. Our cities are still not equipped for rains, though it rains heavily every aingle year.

As a resident of Mumbai this is relatable to me. when it rains, roads become rivers. when it does not rain, we literally burn. The air is filled with industeial dust. Both ways we are doomed.
