Is this the end?

Chills ran down Surbhi's spine after the live horror she watched on TV. It was unbearable. She switched off the tv. The courage she gained a few minutes ago evaporated in seconds. Life was uncertain and she was trapped in it. She was doubtful if anybody, scientist, government, police, army had answers to any of these questions. She sat still on her sofa, wondering "is this the end?"

Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her temples. She placed her palms against her forehead. She had never experienced this kind of headache before. It felt like a a nail being hammered inside her head. Sharp pain continued to worsen. Surbhi screamed. She never realised when she lost her consciousness.

Surbhi opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry. She could not guess what time it was. But at least the headache was gone. Her vision started to clear up. She saw that she was not in her home. She could not identify where she was. She was in a closed room with no windows. The walls of this room were painted in white. There was a mattress on the floor. There was a television mounted on the wall. The door to this room was locked as well. Surbhi tried to open that door but no attempt was successful. She was trying hard to find a way to escape that dreaded room. After exhausting herself she finally decided to sit on the mattress.

While she sat on the mattress she stared at the TV screen. Har intuitions were telling her to move closer to the TV screen. She moved closer towards the TV and saw her own reflection in the screen. In the reflection she saw the letters written behind her on the wall "Switch on the TV". She turned around to see if there is anything written on the wall. But there was nothing written and the wall was plain white. She decided to trust her instincts and switch on the television.

The TV had no telecast. The screen had shown Surbhi her own social media page. Surbhi noticed that a few pictures were uploaded that day. A picture of her looking at the phone and shipping on her coffee. Surbhi understood it was from that morning, but she had not uploaded it. Who uploaded it?
Next photo was 2 hours ago. It was a selfie where Surbhi was grinning ear to ear at her home. Surbhi did not recollect taking this selfie. Her phone was not functioning so how could she take this selfie? Also the events in the morning where strange and she was in no mood to take any pictures or post anything on social media. She found it suspicious.
Next photo was with Kavita. They were having burger at the nearby restaurant. Surbhi knew this photo was impossible. She had thrown Kavita out of her home and there was no question of her having meal with her.

While she was looking at this pictures another photo was uploaded. It showed her sitting at anesthetic cafe enjoying coffee alone. The caption read, "Life got better when I decided to replace worries with coffee".

Surbhi is glued to a specific word - replace. She understood after all what had been happening. She understood the real meaning of replace.
