Maybe Some Words Find Us At The Right Time

Have you ever read a line and just stopped for a second because somehow it said exactly what you were thinking?
I think that's what i like about shayri.
It's not always about understanding every word. Sometimes you just read something once , and it stays somewhere in your mind for no proper reason.
There are so many famous shayars whose words were written years and years ago, but somehow they till make sense today. Like Ghalib's
"Dil-e-nadaan tujhe hua kya hai......"
There is something about the way such a simple line can make you pause and think.
Maybe that's the beauty of words. We keep changing, our situations change, our priorities change, but some lines still manage to find a place in our life.
Kabhi kabhi ek hi shayri ko different time pe padho to uska meaning bhi different lagta hai. Maybe the words didn't change. Maybe we did.
I've noticed that i remember random lines much more than i remember entire conversation. A sentence from a book, something someone once said, a line from a poem, even a random qoute I came across at 2AM.
And sometimes month's later, I'll randomly remember it.
Why does that happen?
Maybe because some words reach us at exactly the right moment. The same line might mean nothing to us today, but a year later, it can suddenly feel personal.
And honestly, i don't think every shayri needs to have some huge meaning either.
Sometimes you just like the way it sounds.
Sometimes you like the feeling behind it.
Sometimes you are just sitting there reading it again and thinking, "yeh line itni acchi kyu hai?"
I also feel like everyone has that one line they can never properly explain why they love.
So, now I'm curious
What's one shayri or quote that stayed with you for a long time?
Not necessarily you favourite. Just one that you randomly remember even after months.
And do you think we love certain words because they're actually beautiful, or because they somehow describe a part of us that we couldn't put into words ourselves?
Maybe that's what good writing really does. It doesn't tell us something completely new.
Sometimes it just says something we've been feeling all along.
