Being a Foodie Is a Different Kind of Love πŸ•πŸ˜

I genuinely believe that being a foodie is not just about eating when you're hungry. It's about thinking about what to eat while you're already eating, saving food videos you'll probably never recreate, and suddenly craving something just because you saw one picture of it. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
Sometimes, I don't even need to be hungry to think about food. I'll be scrolling through Instagram, minding my own business, and suddenly a video of cheesy pasta, crispy fries, or a chocolate dessert appears on my screen. And just like that, my entire mood changes. Now I need to eat something, even though I was perfectly fine two minutes ago.
The funniest part is how difficult it becomes to decide what to eat when someone actually asks. You can spend twenty minutes saying you don't know, reject five suggestions, and then go back to the first option you were offered. Being a foodie means having thousands of cravings but somehow never knowing what you want at the right moment. 😭
And let's talk about favourite foods. Everyone has that one dish they can eat repeatedly without getting bored. It doesn't matter how many times they've had it; somehow, it tastes just as good every single time. For some people, it's biryani. For others, it's pizza, momos, pani puri, or a simple homemade meal prepared by someone they love. Sometimes, the best food isn't even from an expensive restaurant. It's something familiar that tastes like comfort.
Another thing about being a foodie is that food recommendations are taken very seriously. If someone tells me they've discovered an amazing place to eat, I immediately want to know the location, prices, best dishes, and whether it's actually worth visiting. And when I finally try it and love it, I feel like I've discovered something extraordinary. Of course, if the food turns out disappointing, I will remember that experience for a suspiciously long time. πŸ˜‚
Food also has a funny way of bringing people together. Friends planning an outing will discuss where to eat before deciding where to go. Family gatherings become more exciting when everyone's favourite dishes are prepared. Even a random conversation can turn into a debate about which restaurant serves the best food. But honestly, the biggest struggle is wanting to try everything. You see a new dessert, a different cuisine, or a snack you've never tasted, and immediately add it to your mental list. There are so many foods to try and so little room in one meal. Sometimes, I wish I could taste everything without having to choose just one thing.
And yes, taking pictures before eating is practically part of the experience now. The food arrives, everyone reaches for their phones, and the actual eating begins only after the pictures are taken. πŸ˜‚
For me, being a foodie is about enjoying little pleasures, discovering new flavours, and appreciating the happiness that a good meal can bring. Food doesn't have to be fancy to make a moment memorable.
Now tell me, fellow foodies: what's that ONE food you could eat every single week without getting bored? And what's a popular food everyone loves but you personally don't understand the hype around?
I need some honest answers because food opinions can get surprisingly serious. πŸ˜πŸ•πŸ€
