I feel like it is also the start of the title that pink is a girls colour and liking pink means that you are so girly and so uncool..people who said that pink was their favourite coulr was bashed seriously irrespective of the gender

Paris Hilton was the 'IT' girl even before it was a thing. She was the original influencer when the term was not even coined. I do remember how pink overload was a thing. Every shop was filled with pink clothes, finding other colours was a task. Just like you even I hated this trend
