One of the biggest strengths of the movie is the characters. Jayam Ravi delivers one of the most charming performances of his career. He perfectly portrays a young man who loves and respects his father but at the same time longing for independence.

Genelia D'Souza is absolutely unforgettable as Hasini. Her energy and innocence and quirky personality bring life to every single frame she is in. Even today Hasini remains one of the most iconic female characters in Tamil films.

Prakash Raj is outstanding as Subramaniam portraying father whose live is genuine even when his actions becomes suffacting over time. Critics and audiences have consistently praised these performances.

What I love the most about the movie Santhosh Subramaniam is that it does not treat the father as a villain. The movie understand both sides. Subramaniam wants the best for his son while Subramaniam simply wants freedom to make his own choices. The balance makes the conflict feel real and relatable n many viewers continue to connect with the film because they see parts of their own family relationships in it.

The movie also packed with the memorable and beautiful song along with countless feel good moments. Songs like "Adada Adada" and the rest of Devi Sri Prasad's soundtrack add so much warmth and charm to the story.

Most importantly the climax is incredibly satisfying. The emotional confrontation between Santhosh and his father is beautiful and powerful because it finally gives voice to feeling that have been building throughout the film. It is not just about winning the girl. It is about a son finally being understood by his father. The endings brings together live and family and growth in a way that feels earned and genuine.
