shoes

My cousin's wedding was in Mandi. We all went by a traveller. I bought new shoes for it, black, shiny ones, from Shimla's Lower Bazaar for 1200 rupees. They were a little tight but the shopkeeper said "khul jayenge."
At the wedding, I wore them. First one hour was okay. Then my feet started hurting. By the time dinner started, I couldn't walk properly.
Everyone was dancing, I was sitting on a chair near the food counter, acting like I am guarding everyone's phones.My younger brother came and said "naach le, kya hua?" I said "mood nahi hai.
I went to the bathroom and took off the shoes. My socks had a small blood stain on the back side, heel was cut.
I wore my cousin's chappal which was lying outside, it was too big for me, but it was comfortable. I wore that chappal for the rest of the wedding, with my suit.
In all the photos, I am wearing a suit and a blue hawai chappal. My mother saw the photos later and said "yeh kya pehna hai tune?"I still have those black shoes. I wore them only once.
It is still in my bucket list to wore them again
