I still remember April 3rd.
It was my degree signature day—the last day of college. My 6th-semester exams were going on, but that day felt nothing like an exam day. I was with my friends, laughing, messing around, and signing our names on each other's T-shirts.

I was just enjoying my last memories of college.
Then, out of nowhere, he came up to me.
"Nice shoes. Did you paint them yourself?"
I looked at him and simply said, "Yes."
And I walked away.
That's it.

No butterflies. No dramatic moment. No thought that I'd ever see him again.
Just one random question from a boy I barely knew.

But sometimes, the biggest chapters of our lives begin with the smallest moments.
A few days later, his Instagram request appeared on my phone. I accepted it, and that's when I found out he'd taken my ID from one of my classmates.
We started talking.
Then he started coming to my exam centre just to see me. At first, he wouldn't even come close—we'd just notice each other from a distance.
Until one day, I finished my exam early.
Everyone had almost left.
And finally, he came to me and started talking.
That conversation became many conversations.
Those conversations became friendship.
And somewhere between telling him about my past, laughing over messages, and feeling safe enough to be myself around him…
I didn't realize when a friendship became love.
I only knew that the boy who once asked me about my shoes had somehow become the person I looked forward to seeing. ❤️
And that was only the beginning. I had no idea how much this one unexpected meeting would change my life. ❤️

A stranger compliments your shoes and asks if you painted them. You
