People say everything is cheap in Bihar.Yes, vegetables are cheap, but dreams are expensive.
I am from Buxar, Bihar. Here when you wake up in the morning, the first question is not "What will I do today? The question is, "Will there be electricity to today"? Will the Internet work"?
I completed my degree. I became of freelance content writer. My family asks me everyday, "when will you go to Patna? Did you fill the government job form? How do I explain to them that I can work for the whole world while sitting in Buxar?
Leaving here is not difficult because there are no facilities. It is difficult because you have to fight for everything.
1. You have to fight for work : No company comes here. For every job, you have to go to Patna,Delhi, or Bangalore. And if you get a remote job, people say, "What time pass are you doing sitting at home?"
2. You have to fight for respect: when you go outside Bihar and you say "I am from Bihar", people take a step back. You have to provide twice that you are also talented.
3. You have to fight for yourself: In the rainy season, water enters the house. In summers it is 45 degrees. Still, you have to stay here because this soil is yours.
But let me tell you one thing. After all this difficulties, the peace you get in the evening on the banks of the Ganga in Buxar, you will never get in any Cafe in Bangalore.
Yes, living in Bihar is difficult. But this difficulty is what makes us the strongest. We are jugaado we never give up.
If you are also from Bihar and reading this, comment below - where are you from? You are not alone.
You can make a great living as a remote worker, but your family wants you to
Your vote is final.
