There are a lot of things happening in my life that I never post about.
Not because they are secret or extremely important. Sometimes I just don’t know how to explain them. Sometimes I feel like certain moments are better kept to myself.
I post pictures when something looks nice. I might post when I have a good day, achieve something, visit somewhere, or simply feel happy. But there are so many ordinary moments that never make it anywhere.
Like the days when I wake up late and spend the first few minutes staring at my phone, trying to convince myself to get out of bed.
The conversations I have with myself when nobody is around.
The small things that make me happy but would probably sound completely uninteresting if I told someone else.
Sometimes it’s just having my favourite food after a tiring day. Sometimes it’s hearing a song I used to listen to a lot. Sometimes it’s getting a message from someone I didn’t expect to hear from.
And then there are the difficult days.
I don’t post about every time I feel confused about what I’m doing with my life. I don’t post when I compare myself to other people and wonder if I’m falling behind. I don’t post when I have a bad day for no obvious reason.
Most of the time, I just continue with my day. I attend classes, reply to messages, talk to people, laugh at things, do whatever needs to be done, and eventually go to sleep.
Nobody looking at my profile would know what kind of day I actually had.
And honestly, I think that’s okay.
I’ve slowly realized that not everything needs to be shared to be real. Some memories are more special because they belong only to me. Some feelings don’t need a caption. Some achievements don’t need an audience.
There was a time when I thought every good moment needed to be photographed and every interesting thought needed to be posted somewhere. Now I’m starting to enjoy having moments that exist without being documented.
A cup of tea that I drank while sitting quietly.
A random conversation that made me laugh.
A walk where I didn’t take a single picture.
A day that wasn’t particularly good or bad, just normal.
Maybe those are the moments that make up most of our lives anyway.
Social media usually shows the parts we choose to remember. Real life is everything in between—the boring afternoons, awkward conversations, small worries, random happiness, unfinished plans, and ordinary days that we don’t think twice about.
I don’t think I need to post everything anymore.
Some things can simply happen.
I can enjoy them, remember them, and keep moving.
And maybe someday, when I look back, I’ll realize that the moments I never posted were some of the ones I remember most.

When you have a moment that feels special, do you
